The INEX Legends have five divisions of racing, Young Lions, Semi-Pro, Pro, Masters and the Golden Masters.

Young Lions is designed for drivers ages 12-16 years of age are eligible for Young Lions awards throughout the 2009 racing season. Young Lions are Semi-Pro drivers, however they will be awarded points separately towards their Young Lions standings.

Semi-Pro is the novice class designed for drivers who are starting out in Legends racing. No prior racing experience is necessary to be a Semi-Pro driver.

Pro is the expert class designed for experienced drivers. The driver must have competed in some other form of professional motorsports or have competed in the "Semi-Pro" or "Masters" division of Legend Cars Racing in order to race in this division.

The
Masters class features only drivers 40 years old and over.

The
Golden Masters is designed for drivers over 50. A Golden Star on their fender designates these drivers. They will be recognized by their Masters point standings.

 

Legends race cars have specific specifications in order to race. They are:

· Wheelbase: 73.00 in (1,854 mm)

· Overall Width: 60.0 in (1,524 mm)

· Overall Length: 10 ft 6 in (3,200 mm)

· Height: 46 in (1,168 mm)

· Engine: Yamaha 1250cc (sealed)

· Horsepower: 122 hp (91 kW)

· Weight: 1,300 lb (590 kg). with driver

· Tires: 205/13R60 BF Goodrich Tires Comp TA HR4

· Wheels: Width: 7" / Diameter: 13"

· Suspension: Coil Over with Bilstein Shocks

· Frame: Full Tube frame with Integral Roll cage

· Harness: FIA approved Five-Point

The cars have very tight specifications to ensure cars are quite similar with each other. All cars utilize the same parts, engine and tires. The only variable (in theory) is the body style.
